Should I go to ND?
My mother and I were thinking about moving in together. The problem is that she wants to live in Michigan and I want to stay here in North Dakota.
I just don’t look forward to the hassle of moving to another state. We’re both retired and get good pensions, so looking for work isn’t an issue. However, moving is such a hassle.
I know that today many of the things that used to take days only take a click or two (like shopping for insurance). However, Mom seems to think that everything is easier in the twenty first century.
It isn’t. You still have to look for a good property to live in. You still have to find a good grocer. You still have to find a good place to get your hair and nails done. I love my mother, but I’m not sure about this move.
